Download evasi0n  and iOS 6.1 firmware (if you need!) from the links below

Connect your device to iTunes

Make a backup of your device in iTunes by right clicking on your device name under the ‘Devices’ menu and click ‘Back Up’. Once your backup is complete return to your device.

Put your iPhone/iPad into DFU mode (Press and hold the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time, After exactly 10 seconds release the Sleep/Wake button. Continue holding the home button until you iTunes pops up a message telling you that it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode.)

[This step if you want to upgrade to iOS 6.1] Go back to iTunes, Hold down “Control” (or “Option” on a Mac) and click “Restore.” This will bring up a file browser. Locate the custom IPSW firmware  you have already downloaded and click “Open.” iTunes will begin restoring the iPhone using the custom firmware. A progress bar will indicate the progress. Once you are done, exit iTunes.

Open evasi0n and be sure you are still connected via USB cable to your computer.

Click ‘Jailbreak’ and wait…. just be patient and do not disconnect your device… then you will have flashing text (To continue unlock the device and tap the new jailbreak icon, the screen will go black then home screen will return to normal) so simply click on the new icon of jailbreak in the springboard once.. after that jailbreak will continue and device will restart.

Once jailbroken return to iTunes and restore your earlier backup.
